EEA 2010 joint meeting will be held at the University of Glasgow on the Gilmorehill Campus located in the West End of Glasgow.
How to get to the University of Glasgow, Gilmorehill Campus
Gilmorehill Campus is located 3 miles from Glasgow City Centre. Conference accommodation is located in the West End within walking distance of the campus but it is a short journey by public transport for those who choose to stay in the city centre.
Travel to the city centre
Subway
The main subway station for the University is Hillhead. There are two subway stations in the centre of the City – Buchanan Street and St Enochs with a regular service to Hillhead. Buses
Routes 44 runs through the main campus from the city centre. Numerous other routes serve Dumbarton Road, Great Western Road and Byres Road. A seasonal tourist bus stops at the University.
Local trains
The nearest suburban rail station is Partick, about one mile to the west of the University. It has an interchange with the subway and with bus services on Dumbarton Road. Trains run to Partick from the two main stations in the city centre – Queen Street and Central Stations.
Taxis
Black taxi cabs can be picked up at most times in the University area and the city centre. There is a taxi rank outside Hillhead Subway Station.
