EEA 2010 glasgow

25th Annual Congress of the European Economic Association

23 to 26 August

Poster Sessions

This year we shall be introducing Poster Sessions for young economists completing or just having completed (within the last two years) their PhD in Economics. The poster sessions are intended to act as an informal means of young economists introducing themselves to the profession and potential employers. Accordingly, subject to space constraints, anyone fulfilling the PhD eligibility criteria can choose to present a poster session. This does not affect their ability to submit a full paper for presentation in the usual way. These posters will be arranged in a highly visible central location in the Congress Venue, and the CVs and other contact information of poster presenters will be available on the conference website."

Suggesed rules for poster sessions:

  1. Posters can be presented by anyone in the final year of a PhD or having completed a PhD within the last two years (a letter from the presenter's Head of Department confirming fulfilment of thiscriterion is required).
  2. In the event of there being excess demand to present within the
poster sessions, slots will be allocated on a random basis.
  3. The poster should be no bigger than 140cm wide by 80cm high, and
it is best if it is printed on a single sheet.
  4. We shall provide a means of fixing the poster for display.
  5. Poster presenters should also have the opportunity to upload
their CV, contact details and job-market paper to the conference
    web-site.
  6. A file summarising the contact details, research interests etc
of the poster presenters should be available on the website for
    potential employers.
  7. Poster presenters must register for the conference in the usual way.
